Abstract

Critical thinking has become a source of permanent study and reflection, especially due to its importance when finding answers to the new demands and challenges of society. This research focuses on recognizing the opinions of university students about dimensions of critical thinking through the Motivational Scale of Critical Thinking – MSCT- questionnaire. Based on a descriptive-correlational analysis, the results reflect the usefulness and interest of critical thinking for students both in their daily lives and in their current educational career as well as in their professional future. The results of the present study justify the relevance of critical thinking in the framework of higher education, inviting us to deepen training actions and proposals that encourage the development of this skill.
