Posteriormente, se plantean la externalización de actividades y las estrategias de cooperación: intrasectoriales, entre el constructor naval y la industria auxiliar y dentro de la industria auxiliar. Asimismo, se recogen las iniciativas de cooperación encauzadas por medio de instituciones, foros y reuniones. Por último, se analiza la información empírica recogida en seis factorías navales de Ferrol y Vigo, para extraer semejanzas y diferencias entre ellas en relación con las estrategias de cooperación. First, the role of this activity sector is described in the Spanish economy, and in the European Union, the leading countries and the world economy. Second, outsourcing and cooperative strategies are studied, when they take place between the shipyards, relating the shipyard to the auxiliary factories, and between the auxiliary factories. Moreover, attention is paid to cooperative projects coming up in meetings, forums or by institutional intermediation. Finally, the empirical information collected in six shipyards located in the cities of Ferrol and Vigo is analyzed, in order to discover similarities and differences between them in relation to their cooperative strategies.
